On Thursday 26/07/2018 we began the CRAY Summer Film Project. Pete introduced the project and began by explaining the Saxon invasion. It was very interesting to see where they invaded our country and how they affect our daily lives. Such as: day names and names of counties. We had an amazing time filming and interviewing academics in London. Our first visit was to Goldsmiths University where we were preparing to ask questions on Old English. Disappointingly the interviewee had put the wrong date in her diary. We were disappointed as this was to be our first interview but we were ready for the next big journey up to central London to the British Museum. Matt and Sav from Digital Works helped us with the sound and camera and to perfect our interview technique, We didn't realise there was so much in it. She took us inside and we then were able to interview Dr L Webster- Formerly Senior Curator of the British and Irish  Early Medieval collections at the British Museum, and Head of the former Department of Prehistory and Europe there. Leslie is now retired but met
